Frequently Asked Questions

Booking and payment

How do I book a car?

Choose your dates and locations, pick a car and send the booking form — it takes about two minutes. Your online reservation is a request, not a binding order: our team checks availability and confirms by email or phone, usually within a few hours during working hours. Nothing is charged until then.

Do I need to pay online?

No. We take no online payments at all. You pay at pickup — by card or in cash — and only the security deposit is blocked on a credit or debit card.

What exactly is included in the price?

Standard insurance (third-party liability + CDW), VAT, unlimited mileage, a valid Bulgarian e-vignette for all national roads and 24/7 roadside assistance. Optional extras such as zero-excess insurance, GPS, a child seat or mobile Wi-Fi are priced separately and can be added during booking.

Can I cancel or change my reservation?

Yes. Cancellation is free up to 48 hours before pickup — just call or email us with your booking code. Changes to dates, car or locations are free as well, subject to availability.

Is there a minimum rental period?

One day. Prices are per rental day; a rental shorter than 24 hours is charged as one full day.

Requirements

What documents do I need to rent a car?

Three things: a valid driving licence held for at least 2 years, an ID card or passport, and a credit or debit card for the deposit.

Is there a minimum driver age?

Yes — drivers must be at least 21 years old. For Luxury class vehicles the minimum age is 25.

Can I rent with a foreign driving licence?

Licences issued in the EU/EEA are accepted as they are. Licences from other countries are accepted when printed in the Latin alphabet; otherwise please bring an International Driving Permit together with your national licence.

Can I add a second driver?

Yes — an additional driver costs €8 per day and must meet the same age and licence requirements. Every driver has to be registered on the rental agreement, otherwise the insurance is not valid for them.

Pickup and return

How does airport pickup work?

Our desks are in the arrivals halls of Sofia Airport Terminal 2 (daily 07:00–23:00) and Varna Airport (daily 08:00–22:00). Add your flight number to the booking and we will track it — if the flight is delayed, the car simply waits for you.

Can I pick up the car in one city and return it in another?

Yes, one-way rentals are available between all five of our offices. A one-way fee may apply depending on the distance — we confirm the exact amount together with your reservation, before anything becomes binding.

Can I pick up or return outside working hours?

Often yes, by prior arrangement. Mention the time you need when booking or contact us — where possible we will arrange an out-of-hours handover and confirm any fee in advance.

What is the fuel policy?

Full-to-full, the fairest one: you receive the car with a full tank and return it full. No prepaid-fuel tricks and no refuelling margins.

What happens if I am late returning the car?

Call us as soon as you know — a short delay is usually not a problem. Longer delays may be charged as an additional rental day, so it is always better to warn us early.

Insurance and deposit

What insurance is included?

Every rental includes third-party liability insurance and Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) with an excess between €300 and €500 depending on the vehicle — the exact amount is shown on each car page. Our luxury cars come with full casco and zero excess included.

What is full insurance (SCDW) and is it worth it?

SCDW costs €12 per day and reduces your excess to zero, including damage to tyres, glass and the underbody, which standard CDW does not cover. If you want to hand back the keys without thinking about scratches, it is the extra we recommend most.

How much is the deposit and when do I get it back?

Between €150 and €800 depending on the vehicle class — the exact amount is listed on each car page. The deposit is blocked (not charged) on your card at pickup and released after the car is returned in its original condition; depending on your bank it can take a few business days to reappear in your account.

What should I do in case of an accident or breakdown?

First make sure everyone is safe and call 112 if anyone is hurt. Then call our 24/7 assistance line at +359 2 100 2000 — we will guide you through the next steps and send help or a replacement car. Do not admit liability, and always get a bilateral protocol or police report, as the insurance requires it.

On the road

Can I take the car outside Bulgaria?

Yes — with our written cross-border permission and a Green Card, issued as an extra for €25 per rental. Request it when booking so the documents are ready at pickup. Driving abroad without it invalidates the insurance.

Are vignettes and tolls included?

A valid Bulgarian e-vignette is always included. Vignettes and tolls in other countries, city congestion charges and any traffic fines are the renter's responsibility.

Is the mileage limited?

No — every car in our current fleet comes with unlimited mileage. If a specific vehicle ever carries a limit, it is stated clearly on its page before you book.

Are the cars ready for winter?

Yes, all cars are fitted with tyres appropriate to the season. For mountain trips you can add snow chains (€10 per rental), sized for your vehicle — and the LPG Dacia Duster with its high ground clearance is our favourite winter pick.

Can I smoke in the car or travel with a pet?

All our cars are strictly non-smoking. Pets are welcome in a closed carrier; just let us know in advance so we prepare the car accordingly.

I am renting the Tesla — where do I charge it?

Charging at our Sofia offices is free, and the car has full access to the Supercharger network. Charging sessions at public stations during your rental are at your expense; the car's screen shows live availability and pricing.
